Through NJ Build, our JCETP and NJRC clients completed a free CDL training course in Jersey City. In total, we have 258 students enrolled in our building trades case management program. Upon completion of training and passing their exams, these individuals will have the opportunity to pursue fulfilling careers as commercial drivers, with employment opportunities available across the country. Other students in our case management program have pursued trades in carpentry, bricklaying, masonry, painting, and more.

Our client, Tray, just started his new job as a lumper, loading and unloading trucks. “This program was really helpful and supportive when it came to finding a job,” he said. Congrats, Tray!
Congrats to our client, Thomas, on his new job! He is working in the freezer department at a warehouse, and he got the job only a month after completing our program.
Clients from the Jersey City Employment and Training Program and New Jersey Reentry Corporation share their experiences working as apprentices for Laborers Local 3. Working with Project Impact and the Hudson Building Trades, the N.J. Laborers also train formerly incarcerated persons to become apprentices and place them in exciting work opportunities. We thank those who train our clients and offer them the dignity of work.
