cordially invite you to a
“Veterans in Construction” Job Fair
The Hudson County Building Trades Association is working with Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development Jersey City One-Stop Career Center and the Jersey City Employment and Training Program (JCETP) to help Jersey City veterans enter into the construction and building trades. The program is ideal for returning veterans and offers a pre-test to assess the skill level of potential applicants. Additional assistance is available for math and reading test preparation, obtaining diplomas and transcripts from Jersey City schools, and driver’s license reinstatement.
With unprecedented construction going on in Jersey City, almost all the trades need apprentices. Veterans are also eligible for the Helmet to Hard Hats Program, which gives top priority to veterans looking for a career in the building trades.
Learn about the various unions of the Building Trades that offer veterans a career as a:
• Plumber • Carpenter • Laborer • Electrician • Painter • Roofer • Insulator…and others!
